CLEVELAND (WJW) – The Cleveland Division of Police announced Saturday that the department had made arrests in an investigation into car break-ins and stolen vehicles.

According to a press release, police have arrested two teenage girls – a 13-year-old and a 17-year-old.

Police said officers spotted a vehicle that had been reported stolen in East Cleveland around 9 p.m. on Friday.

When police tried to stop the car, five suspects got out and ran, according to a press release.

Officers arrested two teen girls.

Both were processed at juvenile detention and released to home detention.

Police say the stolen vehicle was recovered.

Both girls face charges of receiving stolen property.
