ASHLAND, Ky. (WSAZ) - According to the Ashland Police Department, one person was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident in Ashland.
Police say an oncoming passenger car eastbound saw the motorcycle coming into the eastbound lane when motorcyclist tried to correct.
The rider lost control of the motorcycle and slid into the front of the oncoming car.
This happened on the 3200 block of Blackburn Ave.
Investigators say the people in the car were not injured.
The motorcyclist had serious injuries and was transported by Boyd County EMS to a landing site where they were met by a helicopter and transported to Cabell Huntington Hospital.
The investigation is still ongoing and there is no update on the condition of the person injured.
