The Patriots have downgraded K’Lavon Chaisson, one of the team’s top pass rushers, to out for Sunday night’s game with the Bills.
Chaisson, who was signed in free agency to a one-year, $5 million contract, was second to Harold Landry (3.5) in sacks. He had notched 2.5 sacks through the first four games. He also had nine tackles and five quarterback hits.
He’s been dealing with a knee problem that’s kept him limited in practices, but he didn’t participate Friday which wasn’t a good sign.
Who will Mike Vrabel go to to plug the hole?
Both Anfernee Jennings and Keion White are the likely choices. Both have seen an uptick in snaps in recent weeks.
Jennings might get the call on early downs. He’s a better run defender. Along with White, rookie Elijah Ponder is another possibility.
