FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) - The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is mourning the loss of former Deputy Johnny Edward Hodges.

Johnny retired from the Virginia Department of Corrections after a dedicated career as a Correctional Officer. Following his retirement, he continued his service to the community as a member of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office for several years.

His legacy of service lives on through his son, Ed Hodges, an officer with the Rocky Mount Police Department, and Ed’s fiancée, Katie Ferguson, a deputy with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
