CINCINNATI, Ohio — The Cyclones were handed their first loss in Nippert Stadium.

The Cincinnati Bearcats defeated ISU 38-30. The Cyclones (5-1 overall, 2-1 Big 12) did not lead after a nearly flawless first-half offensive performance from Cincinnati (4-1 overall, 2-0 Big 12). ISU's defense played better in the second half, but only enough to get back to one score.

Late touchdown and conversion leave ISU an onside kick short

ISU quarterback Rocco Becht threw a late touchdown and two-point conversion to bring the deficit to one score. With 1:56 left on the clock the Cyclones were forced to attempt an onside kick, which the Bearcats recovered.
