CINCINNATI, Ohio — The first time the Bearcat offense got stopped on Saturday, it halted itself.

A dominant first-half from the Cincinnati offense powered a 38-30 win and handed the Cyclones (5-1 overall, 2-1 Big 12) their first loss of the season.

A Cincinnati fumble with 6:51 remaining in the third quarter stopped a run of five consecutive scoring drives to open the game. The Bearcats opened a 31-7 lead with 1:08 left in the first half, but the Cyclone defense responded, allowing ISU to have its chances late.

After ISU's offense failed to convert a fourth-and-one on a quarterback sneak late in the fourth quarter, Cincinnati responded with an 82-yard touchdown pass.
