CINCINNATI, Ohio — The most alarming moments in Iowa State’s 38-30 loss to Cincinnati were the 85 seconds ISU quarterback Rocco Becht spent sprawled on the field after taking a huge hit.

Bearcat linebacker Simeon Coleman earned a targeting penalty midway through the second quarter for a violent hit. The hit got set up when a defender grabbed Becht’s facemask, twisting him around. Becht spun out of the pocket with his vision obscured and stumbled forward right into Coleman’s oncoming blow.

Becht walked straight to the injury tent after the game. He confirmed he was evaluated for a concussion and an ankle injury.
