SPRINGFIELD, MA -- The Husson University Eagles traveled down to Massachusetts on Saturday to take on the Western New England Golden Bears.

In the first quarter, the Golden Bears didn't waste any time getting into the endzone. Running back Matt LaMontange surged his way through the defense for a two-yard score.

On the next Eagles drive, the Golden Bear defense jumped offsides, giving quarterback Max Clark a free play. He put the ball up high for his receiver Caden Crocker who came down with the catch to give the Eagles a first down.

They would fail to score on that drive, but got the ball back inside their own 10-yard line after forcing a three-and-out. Max Clark dropped back to pass and threw short to his right, but it was intercepted by DJ Gordon who returned it all the way to the o
