LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

The second annual Artists and Afros kicked off Saturday for a vibrant weekend of creativity and culture at Norton Healthcare Sports and Learning Center.

Started in 2024 by Sadiqa Reynolds, the two-day event showcases the creativity of Black artists through live musical performances, visual art, and community connections. In its inaugural year, the event features the work of 30 artists, welcoming all forms of visual art, from photography and paintings to sculptures and handcrafted jewelry.

Over 1,000 people attended the inaugural event, and in its second year, organizers hope to bring even more. Art displayed at the event is available for purchase, with all profits going directly to the hands of the artists.
