NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) - Lots of festivals happening on Saturday during the day through the evening, and if you plan to be one of those people checking things out you may want to pack that poncho to be on the safer side as rain chances begin to increase.

For much of Saturday, the showers and storms that we've seen have stayed along our coastal areas with only some of it making it to parts of the South Shore, but things will be changing over the next few hours:

Storms will get heavier while crossing through more of the South Shore then to Lake Pontchartrain, parts of the North Shore and our Mississippi counties.

Heading into Sunday morning we will see more storms than showers...
