NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) - There's some changes in terms of potential tropical formation in both the Atlantic and Gulf, but the Gulf chances are working in our favor.

Over the last few days some of you may have been getting concerned for a spot that was highlighted from the Florida panhandle all the way down to the Bahamas, but now that "weak area of low pressure [is] located over the north-central Gulf."

The National Hurricane Center says that its "producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms off the coasts of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama" with the expectation of continuing to move northwestward during the next day or two eventually reaching the Texas coast on Monday.

The NHC is not predicted any development here due to strong upper-level winds further downgrading any formation ch
