OZARK COUNTY, Mo. (KY3) -Two people are facing several charges after an alleged police chase in Ozark County last month.
Kelsie Guiltner and Jaycob Anderson face charges that include resisting arrest, littering, and possession and distribution of meth.
On Sept. 3, deputies with the Ozark County Sheriff’s Office said they were checking on a car parked in front of a barn on County Road 551. When they approached, the car sped off.
Several items were thrown out of the car during the chase. Those items later determined to be bags containing meth, the sheriff’s office said.
After nearly driving into Norfork Lake, the sheriff’s office said the car got stuck in the mud, and that’s when deputies were able to arrest the pair.
