MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — Future veterinarians were invited to Morgantown on Saturday to join in on the 16th annual veterinarian career day.
Four veterinary schools and three veterinary technician programs gathered to host more than one hundred students to learn about some of the best programs across the country.
The event was sponsored by the West Virginia Veterinary medical association, the Davis-Michael Scholars program and WVU's animal and nutritional sciences program. Because WVU does not have a veterinarian program, it offers scholarships through the Davis-Michael scholars program to pay for its pre-veterinary students to attend another school.
Originally the career day was created for high school students to learn more about how to prepare themselves for veterinary school. Since
