MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — Operation Activet held their annual Veteran's Bash on Saturday to raise money for the upcoming year.
Operation Activet provides services for veterans and first responders. It was created to give veterans a community and invite them to activities, so they do not feel alone.
The bash was anticipating more than 600 people to stop by. After purchasing tickets to get in, attendees could enter in raffles for items such as guns, a Yeti Cooler, a grill and cash. All of the proceeds will go towards funding the free events that Operation Activet hosts for veterans and first responders.
In addition to having a softball and bowling team, some of the free opportunities that the organization offers is a river float, tickets to WVU sporting events, camping and more.
