LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man has been arrested after firing shots outside a Jeffersonville housing complex.

Miguel Matos, 25, has been charged with criminal recklessness with a firearm.

The incident happened in the 2000 block of Paddle Wheel Drive around 10:20 p.m. Friday.

Officers said they came into contact with a group of individuals inside the complex. In their investigation they said Matos fired a gun numerous times at the ground.

Police say Matos was cooperative, surrendering the gun and magazine. Police did find 5 shell casings with the help of a K9.

Matos was arrested and taken to the Clark County Jail.
