ROGERS, Ky. (FOX 56) — A hiker was carried out of the Muir Valley Nature Preserve in serious condition on Saturday afternoon after falling 40 feet from a cliff near a crag known as the Inner Sanctum.

Around 1 p.m. on Oct. 4, crews with the Wolfe County Search and Rescue Team (WCSART) were wrapping up race support operations for the Red Rugged half-marathon when they got a 911 call about the fallen hiker.
