FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Fort Wayne police have arrested a suspect following an early Saturday morning shooting that left a man with life-threatening injuries.
According to a release from the Fort Wayne Police Department , around 3:11 a.m. on Oct. 4, officers responded to the area of Oxford Street and Hanna Street on the south side of the city on a report of an unconscious male lying in the sidewalk.
When officers arrived on scene, they reportedly found a 21-year-old man suffering from traumatic injuries that were later revealed to have been gunshot wounds. Police say first responders initiated life-saving measures before the man was transported to a local hospital in "life-threatening" condition.
