COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football coach Ryan Day is on a historic pace.

With Saturday’s victory against Minnesota , Day’s career winning percentage as a head coach improved to .882. If qualified (at least 10 years as a coach), that mark would be the best in college football history.

The current record belongs to Knute Rockne, who won 88.1% of his games at Notre Dame (1918-31).

In reaching the historic mark, Day’s team demonstrated repeatedly why the coach wins so often.
