CENTRAL FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Runners were celebrating culture this morning in Central Fresno.
The Frida Fun Run returned for Hispanic Heritage Month.
People dressed up as Frida Khalo to help raise funds for the Fresno County League of Mexican American Women.
The League of Mexican American Women have raised and given more than $650,000 in scholarships to Central Valley students.
The run included a 5k and 2k run or walk kicking off at Fresno City College.
"The Frida Fun Run is more than a race, it's a movement. Our way of keeping her spirit alive by coming together as a community to lift up our students and show what's possible when we stand behind them," says Ruth Eiermann, race director of the 2025 Frida Fun Run.
