INDIANAPOLIS (Gray News) - Indianapolis police arrested former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez after he was stabbed early Saturday morning in downtown Indianapolis.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department arrested Sanchez on allegations of battery with injury, unlawful entry of a motor vehicle and public intoxication, all of which are misdemeanors.
The department issued a statement that Sanchez’s arrest came “after further investigation’ for his role in the alleged attack.
Sanchez remains hospitalized. He has not yet been officially booked.
Sanchez, who is currently a broadcaster for Fox Sports, was in the city this weekend for Sunday’s Colts’ game against the Las Vegas Raiders when the attack happened.
