Tributes have been paid to the longest-serving RSPCA volunteer in Coventry . Margaret Murphy dedicated more than three decades to supporting the charity in caring for animals in need.

Margaret started dog walking for the RSPCA Coventry and District Branch in 1990. Her fundraising efforts raised 'huge amounts' of money, ensuring that neglected animals received the help and care they deserved.

Staff remembered Margaret, who was in her late 80s, fondly and described her as 'such a character' who remained closely connected to the charity until the very end. She paid one final visit to the Allesley facility just days before her passing.
