OTTAWA COUNTY, MI – A man was killed, and another man was injured in a rollover ATV crash after the driver lost control of the vehicle, Ottawa County sheriff’s deputies said.

The crash happened just before 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, in Allendale Township.

Police said a 43-year-old Grand Rapids man was driving an ATV northeast on South Cedar Drive and failed to navigate the turn onto 90th Avenue.

The ATV then left the road and rolled, ejecting the Grand Rapids man in the process.

First responders rendered aid to the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 22-year-old Muskegon Heights man riding in the ATV was hospitalized with injuries that police said are not considered life-threatening.
