The navies of India and the UK Sunday began an eight-day wargame exercise off the Western coast.
India’s Western fleet units led by aircraft carrier INS Vikrant and the UK carrier strike group led by HMS Prince of Wales are taking part in the bilateral exercise, Konkan-25, which will go on till October 12.
Both nations have deployed frontline assets for the exercise, including aircraft carriers, destroyers, frigates, submarines and integral and shore-based air assets. JS Akebono of the Japan Maritime Self Defence Force and HNoMS Roald Amundsen of the Royal Norwegian Navy are also taking part.
