COLUMBUS, Ohio — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash in northwest Columbus Saturday night, according to police.
Officers with the Columbus Division of Police were called to Sawmill and Hard roads shortly after 9:30 p.m. on a report of a crash.
Police said 38-year-old Justin Hawkins was driving a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle northbound on Sawmill Road, north of Hard Road. At the same time, a Nissan Altima going southbound was making a left turn onto a private driveway.
The two vehicles collided and Hawkins was ejected from the motorcycle.
Hawkins was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the other vehicle stayed at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
