MINNEAPOLIS — An overnight shooting in downtown Minneapolis leaves one person injured.
According to the press release, police responded to a report of an assault on the 300 block of 3rd Street South near Wells Fargo Operations Center just before 4 a.m. Sunday morning.
That's when police said officers heard gunshots just a block away near 3rd Street South and 2nd Avenue South.
At the intersection, officers located a man with potentially life-threatening gunshot injuries. He was transported to a hospital.
Authorities believe that the shooting resulted from an altercation that began inside a business at 300 3rd St. South. Police say the altercation then continued down the block, resulting in gunfire.
At this time, no arrests have been made.
