The demand for a popular government in Manipur continues to grow louder, as 11 more BJP MLAs left for New Delhi on Sunday, a day after former Chief Minister N. Biren Singh and three other legislators reached the national capital. The delegation seeks urgent intervention from the central leadership to restore democratic governance in the state, which has been under President’s Rule since February 13, 2025.

The MLAs who left for Delhi today include Khemchand, Usham Deben, Th. Shyamkumar, Karam Shyam, L. Rameshor, Ibomcha, Kunjakesor, Govindas, Satyabrata, K. Robindro, and Seikh Noorul Hassan.
