Six new pieces of public art have been installed on doors throughout downtown Gilbert’s Heritage District as part of the Alley Gallery project, an initiative aimed at enhancing pedestrian corridors with visual art.

The installations span from the north end of the district at Heritage Marketplace to the south end at HD South, home to Gilbert’s historical museum. The new works will be added to the town’s online Public Art Map .

The project was developed through a public call for artists, with submissions reviewed and scored by a selection committee composed of local leaders, business owners and town staff.
