Manteo Commissioners agree on $150K-$195K salary range for new Town Manager

During a brief discussion about the search for a new Town Manager at their Oct. 1 meeting, the Manteo Commissioners accepted a broad salary range of between $150,000 to $195,000 for that position.

The search follows the sudden Aug. 6 resignation of former Town Manager Melissa Dickerson and the appointment of former Nags Head Commissioner and Police Chief Kevin Brinkley as interim Town Manager.

At the Oct. 1 meeting, Commissioner Michael Basnight noted that the proposed salary range is in line with salaries for Town Managers in towns in the Albemarle Region,
