BRUNSWICK, Maine (WJW) -- A man was duck hunting in Maine when he found himself completely stuck in mud and unable to get out.
According to a press release from the Brunswick Police Department, officers received a 911 call from a 31-year-old man on Wednesday just after 2 p.m. During the call, he reported that he was stuck in the mud of Wharton's Point in Maquoit Bay and could not get back to shore.
According to the release, the man explained that he was duck hunting and shot several ducks while standing on the embankment in the area. But when he started to walk across the mud to retrieve the ducks, he suddenly sank.
“He was unable to move, and the more he struggled, the deeper he became,” the release said.
