Former New York Jets quarterback and current Fox Sports broadcaster Mark Sanchez is facing criminal charges following a violent altercation in downtown Indianapolis early Saturday morning that left him hospitalized with stab wounds, according to ABC 7 Eyewitness News.
Marion County prosecutors have charged Sanchez, 38, with battery resulting in injury, public intoxication and unlawful entry of a motor vehicle.
According to Indianapolis police, the incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. in the city’s bustling Wholesale District, near the Indiana Statehouse.
Authorities say Sanchez allegedly confronted a 69-year-old man in an alley off West Washington Street over a dispute involving the man’s parked car.
