JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. — Clark County citizens were brought together by the Jeffersonville data center, Saturday. A group of moms are leading the push for the data center to fuel more money into the local economy.
"I'm tired of seeing big players like Meta move in while our county goes under funded," one person said. The Meta data center is being built in the River Ridge Commerce Center, close to the intersection of Salem Road and International Drive. Meta owns platforms like Facebook and Instagram. The development was announced in January 2024 . The facility's construction has provided more than 1,200 jobs. Once the center is open, it's expected to create 100 jobs.
