VIRGINIA — The Central Lakes College Raiders' defense turned offensive Saturday, Oct. 4.
Jabari Harris and Cacari Taylor intercepted passes and turned them into pick-sixes and Keyuandre Watkins returned a fumble 64 yards for another score as the Raiders defeated Mesabi Range 34-7.
Despite running 84 plays, Mesabi Range was held to 237 yards of offense. The Raiders' defense recovered two fumbles and picked off three passes. Elijah Ward led the Raiders with 11 tackles, including 4.5 for loss and 1.5 sacks.
CLC’s Kasseem Wade led the rushing attack with 81 yards on 13 carries, including a 15-yard touchdown run in the second quarter for a 14-0 halftime lead.
Antonio Davis added a 25-yard touchdown run.
