BRAINERD — Gracie Jackovich scored two first-half goals on free kicks to lead the Brainerd Warriors to a regular-season ending 4-2 Central Lakes Conference victory over the Alexandria Cardinals Saturday, Oct. 4.

The Cardinals tallied back-to-back goals to end the first half and tie the score 2-2 going into halftime.

Brainerd’s Lilly DeRosier then broke the tie to start the second half and assisted on Sophia Lundy’s insurance goal.

The Warriors’ Chloe Patrick finished with seven saves to help Brainerd finish with a 9-0 conference record and a 12-4 overall record.

Saturday’s win was also a Section 8-3A victory. The Warriors landed the No. 4 seed for the postseason and will host No. 5 Elk River 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8. The Warriors defeated Elk River 2-0 on Sept. 2.
