LINCOLN COUNTY, S.D. (KTIV) - One person was killed and another injured following a single vehicle crash north of Lennox, S.D, on Saturday, Oct. 5.

The South Dakota Department of Public Safety preliminary report says the driver of a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, a 21-year-old man from Sioux Falls, was traveling east on 275th Street at around 11:12 p.m. when he crossed the center line and entered a ditch.

The department also reports the Jeep hit a field approach, rolled, and the car’s passenger, a 51-year-old man from Sioux Falls was thrown from the car.

The 21-year-old was transferred to a hospital in Sioux Falls with life-threatening injuries. The 51-year-old died at the scene.

The crash is still under investigation by the South Dakota Highway Patrol.
