The Brisbane Broncos are facing a potential fine over dressing room scenes that followed their Grand Final triumph over the Melbourne Storm.

Brisbane players had the night of their lives on Sunday as they ended the club's long wait for a seventh title, defeating the Storm 26-22 after overturning a 22-12 half-time deficit.

Players wore goggles as bottles of champagne were popped in what has become a regular sight in grand final-winning changerooms in recent years, but the scenes of Broncos stars smoking cigars in the sheds of Sydney's Accor Stadium has sparked concerns the club could be hit with a fine.

Smoking is prohibited inside the stadium, and Broncos staff tried to stop players from lighting up inside the sheds but were unable to "butt out" the cigars in time, Code Sports reported.
