Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan has lashed out at a journalist after being grilled on why she ditched a key stakeholder to spruik the completion of a new train station.
Premier Allan had been scheduled to attend a Victorian Council of Social Service (VCOSS) event on Monday but instead chose to hold a press conference to mark the completion of the new State Library station – part of the new metro tunnel project.
When a journalist suggested VCOSS and other key stakeholders had been poorly treated, the Labor leader fired back, accusing the reporter of showing “grave disrespect” to Victorian Treasurer Jaclyn Symes.
Ms Symes attended the event in the Premier's stead, who had originally been scheduled to appear alongside Opposition Leader Brad Battin on a panel hosted by VCOSS chief executive
