Mobile speed cameras will be in force across Leeds' roads this week.
The mobile speed cameras are put into place by the West Yorkshire Police Camera Enforcement Unit, on behalf of the West Yorkshire Safety Camera Partnership. They are put into place in two types of area in Leeds , core camera sites and community concern sites.
A core camera site is an area with a high number of casualties and speeding vehicles , where it is believed a mobile speed camera would help reduce this. A community concern site, however, does not meet these criteria, but has instead been highlighted by locals as a place of concern.
The cameras can be expected at any time, seven days a week. There may or may not be signs in place indicating the presence of a mobile speed camera.
