As the shutdown that’s paralyzed federal government services rolls into its second week, few Americans feel that the partisan derby on Capitol Hill is worth the trouble, and they’re pointing the finger of blame at, well, everyone.

Nearly half of all respondents to a new CBS News poll say they’re concerned about the effect the shutdown will have on the economy, and half of all respondents don’t approve of the way Democrats, Republicans and President Donald Trump are handling it.

A plurality of respondents — 45% for the Republicans’ positions and 40% for the Democrats’ positions — said the shutdown arguments didn’t pass muster.
