Pierrefonds resident Kevin Romagosa pleaded guilty to murdering his wife Robyn-Krystle O’Reilly in such a horrific way it was difficult for the funeral home that handled her remains to provide details to her loved ones.

On Monday, at a courthouse in Drummondville, Romagosa, 41, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and a related charge involving O’Reilly’s remains. Quebec Court Justice Daniel Royer is expected to decide later on Monday whether he accepts a joint recommendation that Romagosa receive a life sentence, with a period of parole ineligibility of 17 years, as well as a two-year sentence for the count involving the victim’s remains.
