The Port Lambton rookie made 46 saves as the Komoka Kings rallied for a 5-4 shootout win in front of 715 fans at Chatham Memorial Arena.

“It was great,” said Lane, who turns 17 in December. “The team played unreal in front of me. It feels so good to beat those guys.”

Nathaniel Adams scored the only shootout goal on Maroons netminder Sammy DiBlasi, who made 39 saves.

Lane stopped all three Maroons shooters – Max Skinner, Trevor Zanutto and Jaxon Priddle – for his second career win in the Greater Ontario Hockey League.
