FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — An Arkansas man has now been arrested on multiple charges after leading police on a high-speed chase down Interstate 49 in Fayetteville.

According to reports, at about 9:00 a.m. on October 4, troopers with Arkansas State Police (ASP) tried to perform a traffic stop on a vehicle that was headed northbound on I-49 near the 65-mile marker.

However, the driver, identified as 23-year-old Dustin Paulman of Forrest City, drove off at a high speed and exited the interstate.

Moments after the pursuit began, Paulman crashed his vehicle at the intersection of Sang Avenue and Verry Street. During the crash, a passenger was thrown from the vehicle, and Paulman ran off headed eastbound.
