LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Arkansas is home to many different types of animals, including bears, and many different types of areas meant for camping or recreation.

While the Natural State is typically known for its beautiful sights and tranquil scenery, this year, one bear attack killed a man, and another man's death is suspected to also be bear-related.

Both of the recent incidents happened in Northwest Arkansas.

With those two attacks this year, officials with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission (AGFC) explained that bear attacks are rare, but two are even more rare.

“I don't know what the odds would be, but probably easier to win the lottery. It's just crazy. I don't really want to believe it, we’ve had two in basically a month,” described Keith Stephens, the chief of communications for
