LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – A criminal case stemming from child sexual abuse allegations dating back nearly a decade ago may finally come to a close.

Dequincy Brass pleaded guilty to one felony count of child abuse, neglect, or endangerment through an Alford plea, after he was accused of sexually assaulting two underage girls he picked up from an after-school program multiple times.

An Alford plea allows a defendant to plead guilty without admitting guilt while acknowledging prosecutors may have enough evidence to lead to a conviction.

Clark County District Court Judge Erika Mendoza is scheduled to sentence Brass on Oct. 14. The 8 News Now Investigators have also learned about a settlement after one of the alleged victims filed a federal lawsuit against the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southern Nevad
