WATERLOO, Iowa — Waterloo is celebrating a year marked by record growth and ongoing projects aimed at achieving its 2030 vision goals.

The city has issued more than $300 million in construction permits this year, reflecting significant development activity. Additionally, Waterloo has secured nearly $2 million in state housing tax credits for new housing units.

The Waterloo Police Department announced that their new wellness program is making a positive impact. The program has already been credited with saving lives by identifying serious health concerns within the community.
