LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Two men have been arrested after police say they used credit cards stolen from elderly victims for a shopping spree across Louisville.
Louisville Metro Police (LMPD) said Virgil Mozee, 64, pastor of The New Christian Church of Jesus Christ, and Nathanial Porter III, 52, have been charged with theft by unlawful taking, fraudulent use of credit cards, trafficking in financial information, and engaging in organized crime.
According to LMPD, between Sept. 12 and Sept. 25, both men were caught on camera shopping at Walgreens, Meijer, and Kroger using the stolen credit cards.
The two men racked up more than $5,000 in fraudulent transactions, police said, adding that they targeted women in their 70s and 80s.
