Sevierville, Tenn. (WVLT) - Sevier County 911 said that fire crews were called to Boyds Creek Elementary School early Tuesday Morning.

Fire crews arrived at the school on Indian Warpath Road in Sevierville just after 6:00 a.m. and found that an HVAC unit in the gym area had failed and smoke was in the building, dispatch said.

School officials said school will continue as scheduled Tuesday, but the students will be kept out of the back area of the school as cleanup continues.
