KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Knoxville Utilities Board, better known as KUB, has released a bit more information about a major water main break that affected much of downtown and South Knoxville Monday.
KUB said in a statement to WVLT News the break happened at the board’s MBW Water Plant.
“Crews quickly made operational adjustments to stop the leak and restore service. There are no water quality concerns, and KUB is developing plans to complete permanent repairs safely to maintain service to our customers,” KUB’s statement said.
There’s no timeline yet on when those permanent repairs will be done.
