OSCEOLA, Ark. (KAIT) - A Mississippi County jury convicted a habitual offender of two counts of terroristic threatening, residential burglary, theft of property, and harassing communications.

At the jury’s recommendation, Circuit Judge Dan Ritchey imposed consecutive sentences of 40 years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections for burglary and 15 years on each count of terroristic threatening, for a total of 70 years.

“I’m very pleased with the jury’s verdict,” said Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Jeremy Thomas, who tried the case. “This sentence sends a strong message that our community won’t tolerate repeated acts of violence and intimidation.”
