An Ellenville woman is in critical condition following a two-car collision on Route 209 in the Town of Wawarsing.
New York State Police said the crash happened shortly after 8:30 a.m. Oct. 5.
According to state police, a preliminary investigation revealed that a 2008 Honda and a 2022 Subaru were both heading south on Route 209 when the crash occurred.
The driver and sole occupant of the Honda, identified only as a 24-year-old woman from Ellenville, received life-saving measures at the scene.
She then was flown to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, where she remains in critical condition with serious injuries.
The driver of the Subaru, identified only as a 25-year-old man from Woodbourne in Sullivan County, was not injured.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation,
