COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Division of Police have identified the victim killed in a shooting in east Columbus Tuesday morning.

Officers were called to the 3000 block of Templeton Road, located south of East Main Street, around 11 a.m.

Upon arrival, officers found 30-year-old Tyris Sowell suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was transported to Grant Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 11:26 a.m.

It's unclear what led up to the shooting. There is no suspect information at this time.
